I created this artwork a few days ago, and a friend was generous enough to write a small backstory for it- for me to dub if I wanted to. I tried to capture the grand scale of an explorer finding this ancient setting, almost told from a dante's inferno type view with a legacy of kain style.
I'll leave the entire script below. Any feedback is well appeciated. Thank you.

In the suffocating blackness of the underworld, I hesitated at the entrance of the catacombs, a realm shrouded in the malevolent remnants of forsaken gods. The air was thick with an oppressive chill, as if the very essence of divine resentment permeated the cold, clammy walls, whispering curses that echoed through the abyss. As I plunged deeper into the stygian abyss, the feeble light of my torch flickered, casting elongated shadows that seemed to writhe and contort with malevolent intent. The grotesque carvings on the walls told tales of a pantheon consumed by madness, their once-glorious depictions now twisted into nightmarish visages of torment and despair.Unholy whispers, laced with the madness of the warp (lmao), echoed through the forsaken catacombs, weaving a narrative of chaos and despair that transcended the boundaries of mortal comprehension. It became evident that this unhallowed sanctuary was not merely a tomb for forgotten deities but a nexus where the material and immaterial realms converged in a grotesque dance of cosmic malevolence. In the heart of this accursed realm, I stood as an unwitting interloper, a pawn in the grand cosmic game that unfolded in the grim darkness of the past. The catacombs, now revealed as a warp-infested (lmao)mausoleum, connected the forgotten gods of ancient lore to the looming darkness of their sickening intent. The catacombs unveiled themselves in all their sinister glory, a testament to the twisted power and maleficent artistry that lurked beneath the surface of the divine.
