Nemesis - MSX - longplay
10You'll surely know (and if you don't know just burn your pc :D) , this game is nothing more than Gradius; in Europe, the game was released as Nemesis.
As many other MSX games, Nemesis make use of the SCC sound cartridge, by Konami/Yamaha.
Hidden in the lower-right corner of the opening demo screen are the names "NAOKI" and "YUTAKA". This is in reference to the two lead developers of the MSX port, Naoki Matsui and Yutaka Haruki.
This version has several differences with the arcade:
A 2nd level for Laser and Missiles.
Stages 2, 3, 4 and 6 now hold bonus stages. (in this longplay you can see level 2 bonus stage, at 06:10. as Rebit says "bonus stages are almost identical and when you complete it, you'll be warped to the next regular level, so you miss the rest of previous level map")
Secret commands other from the Konami Code.
There is a newly created stage consisting of a field of bones, similar to the additional level found in the PC Engine port.
If a MSX TwinBee game cartridge is placed in the second slot and Gradius is on the first slot, TwinBee will replace Vic Viper and become the main ship.
After you beat it, the game loops. Well, there are 5 different ending messages: coming soon
