This was the first Neo-Barbaric 6-way split tape from 1998. I alluded to it in the upload for Volume 2 recently. Mark from Neo-Barbaric zine compiled it, and featured his solo noise project Carnal Hedon Coitus as one of the bands. I'm sure the contact info for all these guys is out of date but I didn't edit the sleeve art. Most of these bands have been gone a long time and most of this music is not available anywhere at this point.

The bands:
Dostah Shilailee I've uploaded some stuff in the past for as well, this was my first exposure to his music. DS was a one band named Jay Van Buren who recorded on a radio shack mic and a Casiotone keyboard, a sort of DIY NIN. He had a couple side projects as well that escape me right now, including 3D. We had talked through mail about a split or collaboration but he disappeared from the scene not long after, no idea what became of him. Despite the limits of his gear and production I still really enjoyed what he did here and on his first solo tape.
The guy behind Dahmer's Dinner is a prolific recording artist and writer named Chuck, who goes by the moniker of Mr. Ski Mask. Dude was mad creative, in addition to producing an insane cable access show in Buffalo, he produced, wrote, and recorded with at least half a dozen bands around the scene like The Lobotomizers, Ostomy, and (the biggest) Towpath. Dahmer's Dinner is his collaboration with another Buffalo noise mainstay named Android, the artist behind Praying For Oblivion and (later) Tote Stadt. Last time I talked to Chuck he had quit music after some tough personal times and that was quite a few years ago. Android, on the other hand, is still out there making music; he moved to Europe and has been traveling the world doing shows and making records. We talked not long ago via email, shouts out to him if he's listening. Both these guys were really cool to me; they set up a show for us to play at the Continental in Buffalo.
Fertilizer Deodorizer is kind of a comic take on grindcore by Justin and Todd, the guys behind Carrion Crawler and Swamp of Pus distro. They are still active in music up to a couple years ago with Weaponizer, which is comparatively much more serious than FD. Super fun!
Pyuria is a gross medical term that more than one death metal/grindcore bands have used as their name; I’m pretty sure these guys are from the USA. I am not familiar with them other than this recording but I thought they were good, they were heavy but not taking themselves too seriously.
The Violet Grind is a harsh noise project I’m only familiar with from this tape. I can’t fill in any details about them other than that their sound was harsh and their aesthetic on the sleeve was cool. From California.
