NES Game: Wrecking Crew (1985 Nintendo)
235A platform game featuring Mario as a wrecking crew and Luigi (if played in 2-player mode) where you must demolish several buildings. You move on to the next and more difficult buildings as you move on to the next level as many buildings have puzzle elements where you must find a way to reach them without getting trapped at the end. Dangerous creatures and the construction foreman wander around throughout the buildings will stop Mario from completing the task. The game has 100 levels and includes a design editor allowing the player to design custom levels.
Note: The game starts out very easy and simple and gets very challenging and difficult as you move on to the next level. I use a walk-through to see how someone beat some levels that I got stuck. On some of the later levels that are more challenging, there's no way to get through some of them without the golden hammer, especially level 95. Also, I had to lose one of the lives on level 62 since there's and obstacle preventing the golden hammer being usable. Fortunately, I was able to retrieve the golden hammer again in level 67. This game seems to influenced by Lode Runner. After beating all 100 levels, the game loops back to level 1 endlessly so there's no point to continue after that so I quit.
