When my new dawn breaks, I'll never feel again!
Finally something new that isn't a bullshit short video! Obviously, it's been since April that I did a proper music video like this. My plans for what to do this month have been changing a lot, depending on how my mood has been, but ultimately this was the choice I was planning since I spoke about it a couple months ago. I'm glad to finally have gotten this out, and it's nice to have done a music video again. I'm a little out of practice, but I'm relearning the ropes fairly well, so far. Old skills don't disappear, they just need a quick dusting off.
Nevertheless, releasing this song feels like the last step to normalcy. I originally made it before on a whim back in June, before entering it to a Newgrounds audio competition, and now we have a very emotionally weighted song, at least in terms of what I've been through these last few months. My plan was to make this about my worst week back in July, and then a look forward under the belief that everything was going to be fine. I consider this, in essence, my powerful vent about the emotional problems I faced and how I can still push through them.
In turn, there comes an announcement. This is the ending song of an upcoming EP that, as of yet hasn't got art (waiting for Spiffy to make it for me again). It'll have five songs, ranging from three I've released this year, one that's part of the second round of that audio competition, and one that I've not released anywhere, and the only other person who's heard it is the person making the art for the EP. Basically, this is going to be a little look into my emotional distress, and ending with an uplifting look forward. Plus a song to break up the tension and just be fun mixed in. It doesn't especially fit the EP, but I think it's a nice break from the depressing shit.
Look out for that when it comes out. Obviously I'll announce it and make a big deal out of it, so you won't miss it, but ultimately, I hope it's a good look into the emotional turmoil this year has been for me. It's been rough, but I'm pushing through it. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy!
