This Nintendo Switch adventure will take you from island to island on an ecological survey, photographing Pokémon and building your own Pokémon Photodex!

Take lots of photos, get them evaluated by Professor Mirror, and keep the best shots to build your own Photodex!
When Professor Mirror evaluates your photos, the photos’ scores will be based on your subjects’ poses, how large they appear, how directly they’re facing you, where they fall in frame, and other factors.
Each photo will get one to four stars, indicating how common or rare the behavior displayed is. You can register a photo from each star category to a Pokémon’s Photodex page. Of all the star categories, four-star photos are the most difficult to snap.
Going on plenty of expeditions is the key to completing your Pokémon Photodex in New Pokémon Snap!
In New Pokémon Snap, photos you take during your research can also be saved to your personal album, which is separate from your Pokémon Photodex.
When you complete a course and are about to save photos to your album, you can use the re-snap function to adjust the brightness, blur, zoom, and other aspects of your photos.
In re-snap mode, you can increase a photo’s blur and adjust the photo’s point of focus. You can also lighten up dark photos by adjusting the brightness or draw attention to your favorite part of a photo by zooming in on it.
CREATE PHOTOS YOU’LL TREASURE
In the photo-editing mode, you can add stickers, frames, and filters to photos saved in your album. You can make your photos stand out even more by adding personal touches.
TEST YOUR SKILL AS A POKÉMON PHOTOGRAPHER
Nintendo Switch Online members (membership sold separately) can compete in global leaderboards with Pokémon photographers around the world in various rankings, such as total Pokémon Photodex score.”
