NEW Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport Sound Comparison with/without Mufflers!
Yesterday Porsche unveiled their new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, a race car homologated for the various GT4 championships, but that can be raced in track days and Clubsports events too. As it was already clear from that test back in April 2018 at Monza Circuit, the new 718 GT4 is powered by the old GT4 version’s 3.8-litre N/A flat-six with 425hp, rather than the four-cylinder turbo unit found in all current 718 Caymans (and quite for sure the street-legal 718 GT4 will have the same flat-6).
Last gen of the Cayman GT4 (981) had a central double exhaust exit giving the flat-6 a higher pitch and melody, but for the 2019 model they opted to separate the two exhausts which leads to a more "old-style" sound, similar to the one of the Group 4 911 RSR or 911 SC with the same exhaust layout. Last September during a more recent test, there where two 718 GT4s, one with mufflers and one without. Check the sound differences!
