This video is about the 1997 version of the Porsche 911 GT1 race car. Of course the GT1 had very few in common with the 911 model, but it was built to resemble the 993 (front and rear lights). For the 1997 season Porsche made some aero and body upgrades plus thei fitted it with the headlights of the upcoming 911: the 996. The race car was then called GT1 Evolution or simply GT1 Evo.
It is powered by a water-cooled twin-turbo 3.2 flat-6 engine able to produce 540 hp and 630 Nm of torque.
