When I was whining about Fallout: New Vegas to a friend over a beer, he asked what did I expect from a Fallout 3 mod slapped together in a few months.

The TL DR is that the writing - quests, plot, worldbuilding - is great, but no Bethesda RPG has ever had good gameplay and New Vegas isn't an exception.
