9If I'll never get to learn any of the history of Trip's people, like if they fought with a faction of people over their own territory and if that faction of people had nuanced motives, or what any of the previous guardians were like, then Trip's people will be inferior Discount Echidnas. The people claiming that these people are better and replacements to the echidnas just because someone besides Penders made them are going to be completely wrong if Trip's people don't lead to worldbuilding, which was the appeal of echidnas in the first place! And I read that Flynn thinks worldbuilding is boring! So what is their worth? No more worth than seeing any other random people around. Don't compliment them by comparing them to echidnas! They don't even have different color schemes like them. Though we could've learned echidna history without it being that there were still echidnas around.
