An army veteran who suffers from PTSD says he wouldn’t be here today without the help of a paramedic who runs emotional support swims with his pet dogs.

Kevin Robinson who did several tours of northern Ireland and had many traumatic experiences says that open water swimming with the newfoundland dogs has saved his life.

Pete Lewin set up the charity which puts the swims on for frontline emergency service workers, military veterans and anyone struggling with their mental health. He has been shortlisted for an award at this year’s soldiering on awards for his work and invited Forces News cameras to film one of the swims.
