UPDATE: The acquisition is awaiting regulation approval. The ICA (is Investment Canada Act) requires a foreign investment to be reviewed and monitored before the acquisition may be completed. It is the law.

Back in January, Nintendo announced it would be acquiring 100 per cent of Canadian studio, Next Level Games. The acquisition was said to he completed by March 1, the final month of FY 2020. Next Level Games is known for developing Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (Luigi’s Mansion 2 outside North America) for Nintendo 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch, Super Mario Strikers on the Wii, and other various Nintendo IP’s.
