Nick Frost & Edgar Wright, The World's End - British comedic trio Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and director Edgar Wright are back with the outrageous comedy, The World's End. The world got its first taste of Wright, Pegg, and Frost in the UK series Spaced; by 2004 the trio moved to the big screen with Shaun of the Dead. The action comedy Hot Fuzz came next, and now they're capping off the trilogy with The World's End. A take-off of sorts on the science fiction genre, it's the story of five childhood friends who reunite at the behest of Pegg's goth-that-never-grew-up, Gary King. The mission: return to their childhood town and reattempt a pub crawl they abandoned some 20 years ago. Frost plays Andy, King's estranged best friend, and as the pints are poured — and old tensions rise — the group discovers that a sinister force may have taken over the town they once knew.

Tribute.ca spoke with Nick and Edgar during a promotional stop in Toronto about why it works so well between them, enduring an ultimate pub crawl in real life and what would happen if Nick played director and Edgar decided to act.

The World's End movie synopsis:

Twenty years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell-bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub—The World's End.

As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.
