NICK54222 MUGEN: Gurianos VS Gildus
5Since I'm trying to let obscure characters have a chance, let's see two fighters from an obscure but mediocre fighting game. The original game was fine, but challenging.
Anyways, we've got Gurianos and Gildus fighting in this video. They're both from the game Gladiator (also known as Great Gurianos), an arcade game made by Allumer published by Taito in the 80s. The former is the protagonist, while the latter served as the antagonist. They appeared in the sequel Blandia, but while Allumer made it without Taito, it wasn't a good fighting game despite being an early case of the use of weapons in a fighting game.
Both of these fighters were made into MUGEN by Joey Faust, but breaking armor doesn't seem to be a thing with them. Also, the stage I'm using is from Blandia, but the BGM isn't (to my understanding).
BTW, here's a fun fact: Due to memory limitations, the ZX Spectrum port of Gladiator was made unbeatable.
