So remember when I said I'd save the final boss of The Black Heart for a specific date? Well since I'm facing them in October, I felt it would be nice to have the battle with Final on Halloween! Not only that, it's one of TWO videos coming today!

Final has attributes of what's considered to be a boss character in MUGEN. He has perpetual super armor, but it breaks every fifth hit, so his inability to jump or block can be used to your advantage. However, it's impossible to grab him, so grapplers won't be the best for this fight. Speaking of which, grabbing is one of Final's tactics aside from his other basic moves. One super is a grab that summons clones of other The Black Heart characters (or three clones of you if you're using one of the 6 playable fighters from that game), while his other one is a laser that can do massive damage and can't be blocked. He has another laser move, but it doesn't require power and I think you can block it. Finally, he has a teleport move, so odds are he'll use it when you try to attack him sometimes.

Some of Reimu's moves were effective against Final's super armor, especially when she spins her gohei on the ground. I also opted to attack in the air to help deal more damage when I could. Overall, not bad, but this is a boss character, so I had to switch up my strategies compared to when I normally use Reimu.

BTW, I know the Steam version has a new character, but he has yet to be made a standalone MUGEN fighter (unless he's available), so I'll face him later.

So as for the second video coming today, while my opponent isn't a boss character, some of the things the AI loves to use can make him hard to take down. I know there is an AI Downgrade for him, but I faced the normal AI for a challenge, and boy, it was tough!
