The path led to the eerie Copied City, where a confrontation with Adam unfolded. In a cruel twist, Adam revealed a crucified 9S, aiming to provoke deep-seated rage and hatred. To save her partner, 2B confronted and defeated Adam, a machine lifeform who once controlled half the machine network. This victory disrupted the machine network, leading to unforeseen behaviors among the remaining machines.
