Please enjoy these four videos of almost every scene in Night Trap. If you're at a desktop or laptop, make sure in your video settings (the gear icon) that Annotations are turned on. After 30 seconds, you should see 8 gray rectangles directly above the video. Put the mouse cursor over them to switch audio tracks, or jump backwards or forwards in this video by 20 and 40 seconds. I always wanted to see how scenes in different rooms interact with each other and without having to leave a room to trap an auger. Years ago I thought I'd make a 2x2 grid of the active rooms and put audio for one of the most interesting rooms in the left channel, and the second most interesting room in the right channel. At that time doing so would have required playing the game dozens of times.

Fortunately a year ago Paul Jensen with the help of TascoDLX wrote a program that can turn files on the game CDs into videos. A huge thanks to them for making this possible. The four videos contain both different audio and video. For example during the first several minutes of vids 1, 2, and 3, the audio is from different characters and rooms but the video is the same. However in vid 4 some of the augers are captured unlike 1-3.

Story 1 follows what I consider the "main" story. That's why it stays with Kelly, Ashley, and Sarah in the bedroom instead of Lisa and Megan in the bathroom. Later the audio does cut away from the kitchen to Lisa. It is intentionally not a perfect playthrough in order to occasionally see the augers move from room to room.

Story 2 mostly follows the vampires. It cuts to Lisa and Megan in the bathroom because Story 1 already has audio of Sarah in the bedroom. It also cuts away from the main group so we can hear the little brother exploring, which ties in to what comes later. If you want to hear audio spoken by a main-character that isn't here or in Story 1, it's probably in Story 3.

Story 3 includes the SCAT members, complete clips of Danny interacting with Weird Eddie, Tony and Jeff leaving through Hall 1, and Kelly investigating the Living Room. It also includes some alternative outcomes.

Story 4 includes more alternative outcomes, game overs, and bad endings. Being a video and not the game, after a game over or death, the story keeps on playing. However scenes are in the correct order except for two clips of Lt. Simms that are moved to keep them from overlapping with other events.

When editing all the individual clips together, it became possible to make a few adjustments to the original timing. For example after characters leave a room, there are now fewer pauses before they re-appear in the next room. Some small continuity errors with the augers are also fixed. Other discrepancies are left intact to preserve the game as it is.
