Today marks the start of Boomstock - a celebration of all things Boomer Shooter - on Steam, and not only does it highlight Nightmare Reaper, but it features a ton of genre favourites, new and old, for fans to peruse at heavily discounted prices. With that in mind, we wanted to highlight once more that Nightmare Reaper is currently running a multiplayer open beta, and you can see all the info on that below! We'll have lots more to talk about as we wrap up the beta, so stay tuned and make sure to put Nightmare Reaper on your Terminals watchlist if you want to know when keys become available closer to the full launch of multiplayer.

To take part in the multiplayer Open Beta, here’s what you’ll need:

What to Expect
Full Co-op Gameplay – Play through the entire Nightmare Reaper experience with up-to-4 of your friends.
Community Events – Stress tests and community-driven sessions are planned to push multiplayer to its limits.
Bug Hunting – Players are encouraged to report issues and send crash logs to help polish the build. (This isn’t enforced, but every report helps make the game stronger!)

Duration

Nightmare Reaper is a dark and violent meld of retro and modern action games, inspired by the classic 2.5D first-person shooters of the 90s. Progress through the cursed depths of a nightmare while finding an arsenal of powerful weapons and improving your abilities along the way. This retro-inspired FPS with looter shooter and rogue-lite elements breaches the wall between classic and modern gameplay. Each of the three chapters is 7-10 hours long and is highly replayable.
