Today, we play Nine Sols. thanks to the demo available on PC and Mac and downloadable from Steam.
Nine Sols is a hand-drawn 2D action-platformer featuring a combat system similar saw in Sekiro, developed and pubblished by RedCandleGames based on Taiwan.
The game story is set to New Kunlun, the Solarian’s last sanctuary, has remained quiet for centuries.
Inside this vast realm, the ancient gods left mortals with a promised land that is forever protected by the sacred rituals, yet the truth is not this.
Everything changes when Yi, a long forgotten hero from the past, is awoken by a human child.
Yi will go on the route focusing to defeat the Nine Sols, rulers of this forsaken land of New Kunlun.
Each fight combines fast, action sequences with classic platforming mechanics. In the game we will fight various creature and the inevitable bosses like the Red Centaur.
The enviroment charcterized by the unique "Taopunk" style, blends cyberpunk elements with Taoism and far eastern mythology,
Inspiring by the Japanese manga and anime, Nine Sols is realized with meticulous hand-crafted, anime style landscapes, sprite based hand-drawn animations, interspersed with manga cutscenes.
The release date of Nine Sols is planned on 2023 Q2 and will be available digitally and phisically on WIndows PC and Mac thrugh Steam.
