In this video, I'm doing a 1 Credit Challenge of a game that I really liked, since I did a playthrough of this and I did a quick run, during my MAME Arcade Stream. That game is: Ninja Baseball Bat Man for the Arcade. This game was developed and published by Irem, it was only released in the arcade in 1993. Ninja Baseball Bat Man is a beat 'em up game. The game allows up to four players to play simultaneously. Each player chooses from among four characters: Captain Jose, Twinbats Ryno, Beanball Roger, and Stick Straw. The object of the game is to recover various artifacts stolen from the Baseball Hall of Fame, a task prescribed to them by the Commissioner of Baseball. Each stage takes place in several parts of the United States. The player or players must defeat a boss character at the end of each stage. Like in most arcade video games, players may enter three letters or other text characters to record their score when they finish playing, regardless of whether they won or lost in the game. Like Irem's previous beat 'em up arcade game, Undercover Cops, Ninja Baseball Bat Man features playable characters with several different fighting moves performed by inputting several commands using an 8-way joystick and two buttons (attack and jump), including "smart bomb" or "screen zapper" moves that sacrifices health in order to annihilate every enemy on the screen. The game also allows players to perform combos, throws and dash attacks against several enemies. When a player's health bar flashes red, more moves can be performed as long as the player does not restore or completely lose health. There are items throughout the game that include American and Japanese food for restoring health, alternate weapons such as baseballs and shurikens, or items that call cheerleaders to either obliterate enemies on screen or drop a large amount of food. There are also mini-games after each boss before the final one is defeated. About my run on this game: I think I did okay for the most part. On the live stream: I almost defeated the third boss, which is a slot machine going crazy, because I was so close. Unfortunately I got defeated again by this boss, but I'm really happy with the end score I got. Overall, Ninja Baseball Bat Man is a underrated, but fun beat 'em up game by Irem and if you like some of those beat 'em ups. I highly recommend to give this game a try. I hope you enjoy this 1 Credit Challenge video of Ninja Baseball Bat Man for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
