Ninja Gaiden 2 is a punishing 2008 hack & slash XBOX 360 exclusive both hated and celebrated for its merciless difficulty. This guide is a complete walkthrough to help players clear this hardest setting and to help them earn the achievement for doing so. The achievement for clearing The Path of the Master Ninja is called "Way of the Master Ninja."
I will endeavor to complete the nine Tests of Valor, but if any of them prove too impossible and/or consume too much of my time and delay the guide, I will not complete them. I will, however, be collecting every single item and logging its time code in the video in each chapter's "Item Manifest/Event Log." This Manifest will be a record of every item pickup in the game; every item will have a time code next to it so that the viewer can simply click on the time code and be directed to the exact point in the video where the item was picked up or where the event occurred. In this same manner, I will be noting the times where the mid-level and end-level bosses are located in the video.
With the possible exception of any items won after any Tests of Valor that I cannot defeat, EVERY ITEM IN THE GAME WILL BE COLLECTED. This includes all Life of the Gods, Lives of the Thousand Gods, Jewels of the Demon Seal, Spirit of the Devils, and crystal skulls. The only items I will not be recording in my manifest will be the scrolls, which tell very obvious information, and which I will be collecting in-game but not linking to the manifest via a time code. Also note, that in the manifest, you may see something like the following: "Life of the Gods (1/18)" or "Crystal Skull (10/30)." The first number (before the forward slash) indicates the sequential significance of the item while the second number (after the forward slash) refers to the total quantity of that particular item. So for example, "Life of the Gods (1/18)" means that it is the first Life of the Gods pickup out of a total number of 18 that exist.
For those interested in the technical specifications of these videos, the resolution is set to 1440x1080 (full HD) and the rendered Frames Per Second (fps) is set to 60fps to ensure the highest quality.
