Ninja Gaiden II - Chapter 3: Thunderclap of Catastrophe (Path of the Warrior)
A great Chapter ending with one of the weirdest and worst bosses ever made. This game has 2 terrible bosses.. A few cheap ones, but Metal Fish and Giant Worm are just unbelievably broken and random fights.
If your lucky it goes down pretty quick to a few clean shots, if you're unlucky it's impossible to even hit it with charged shots and the fight can take a few minutes or you just get spammed to death by metal fish.
I'm really liking the Talons, will definitely need to use these more. I didn't really know what I was doing with them at the start but I'm slowly improving. I actually like using the Flying Swallow move just for launching enemies and setting up other combos or just disabling them for a moment. I always thought Izuna Drop was a bit overrated, the i-frames are great but you're stuck in it you just end up surrounded by enemies when it ends which leaves you with limited options.
I much prefer the Kusari-gama or Scythe throws against small enemies. I started playing around with the Kusari-gama throws quite a bit in later Chapters (Throws are more like grabs in this game, a lot of them don't actually throw the enemies it's more like an instant kill), that weapon is a ton of fun and a few of it's attacks easily take the heads off of anything you can't grab.
The Talons also have other "throws". Most of these are essentially the same thing as a strong counter where you teleport and impale them through the chest with your claw. This deals massive damage to larger enemies and bosses and usually instantly kills smaller enemies, PPPK (hold) causes you to kick enemies in the face and rip their head off. It looks a lot like a OT but is an instakill against any unwounded small enemies.. Yeah it's pretty damn good. Running Kick to the head always takes heads off.
The game is actually pretty long for an action game if you fight everything and do the Trials, there's not too many cutscenes in each Chapter. Yhere's a few areas where there should be Crystal Skulls but I've already collected most of them on another save.
