Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES) - Act IV
2Ryu questions what the sword was that Ashtar wielded earlier, and the man who used a gun before explains that the weapon is the Sword of Chaos. The man identifies himself to be Robert, a Special Intelligence member of the United States Army. The start of the stage has knife men, sneaky circle bots, and fireballs lurking from the lava. After climbing a ladder, flames will appear, so be sure to dodge them. Climb again and you’ll encounter rock men throwing rocks. After crossing over pillars on a flaming hole, you’ll enter a cavern with water rapids. The rapids will try to push you over, so don’t get knocked off. Be sure to also watch for eagles and sneaky ninjas as you go along. Go down one ladder and rushing knife men will come by. Go down another ladder and cross over a set of platforms. Be sure to watch for reptiles with clubs, rushing monkeys, and wall blobs. Continue ahead and you’ll encounter a pumpkin axe handler shooting fireballs from its sides. Once you go far, you’ll battle against Naga Sotuva. This boss will wield its claws from the sides of both waterfalls. Climb a waterfall and get on top of a platform to attack the boss. Defeat this boss and Ashtar will appear to challenge Ryu. Rather than fight right away, Ryu decides to carry on and become stronger.
