No heat required so easy. I saw a lot of videos where people used a hairdryer to heat up the lens but I for one don't want to get my system that hot. Just put the suction cup at whichever corner is closest to the dust and pull up enough to get a qtip under it but remember to holding around the faceplate because it will try to pull out first.
