Here's my first attempt at a 3D Banner for a modified game rom. (my randomized Pokemon Omega Ruby rom in this example)

This could also be used on homebrew apps as well. As far as I know, none of the note worthy homebrew makes use of 3D banners. They all currently use 2D banners. I hope to see that change in the future! ;)

Also, now that I finally got my 3DS XL back from NAND modding, I can continue my randomizer series. This banner happens to be the new banner my randomizer rom now uses! :D

I used 3D Studio Max 2015 to create the custom model. Then exported as OBJ file. Then imported that as a new CGFX file in EveryFileExplorer. Saved the result and built a new banner.bin file using BannerTool. It's a little more complicated then the simple 2D banners. But the end result is worth the effort!

Until texture/model animations are figured out, 3D Banners for homebrew will be limited to the default spin animation as shown in this video. Keep that in mind when designing your banner!
