Some things:
"No problem."
"Charlotte! Jonathan! Charlotte! Jonathan! CHARLOTTE! JONATHAN!"
"AXE BOMBER!!"
"THIS...IS...ART!"
(SCREAMS)

Dat kanji.
"I LOVE GOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!"

With that said...the 2nd Metroidvania game released for the DS and a pretty long one. Set at World War II, Batman's Castle has risen, a vampire d00d claims it, a boy and girl appears, and the boy, son of John Morris (d00d from Castlevania: Bloodlines), can't use the full power of the Vampire Killer. Like Dawn of Sorrow, this game uses the anime thing again. New gameplay mechanic is dual characters, where you can have Jonathan and Charlotte out at the same time. There are also dual crushes, which is pretty much a co-op skill that uses a lot of MP, but can be very functional. Damage done to the the partner will decrease MP. It starts out pretty normal (go into painting, clear it, go to the next), and then it goes LOLSymphonyOfTheNight: 4 MORE paintings, which are just the same paintings but slightly diff'rent. Pretty original.

Game info thingy: another 1000% Map Rate (that ain't no typo. Yes, I know: double negative and "ain't" isn't a word) on Normal mode. Both endings are in this video (defeating the sisters and defeating Batman). I do some quests, only enough to unlock the Nest of Evil. I do some of the requests even after unlocking the Nest of Evil. I don't bother doing a grind for skills, so that means I miss out on some Summon (Summon: Ghost) and Magic (Thor's Bellow, Stone Circle) and some of Jonathan's sub-weapons (Ricochet Stone, Wrecking Ball). Some quests also require mastering a sub-weapon, so...yeah. If I could use codes to quick master, I would, but there is a "no cheating" rule. I could've just imported my save into my R4 and went from there, but once again: teh grind!! I also unlock the full power of the Vampire Killer (and pretty much use it for the rest of game, save for a few bosses. It is that darn powerful.). 1,000 Blades (more like 49-52 Blades) isn't spammed on bosses, as it breaks the game in half (read: overpowered). Jonathan is controlled most of time. It is a cancelling thing. Speaking of cancelling: same cancel thing is in this game. Jump-attack for swords and the likes, Attack-backdash-crouch-attack for Great Swords and whips. Charlotte does Attack-backdash-crouch-attack as well. For spells, Cast-backdash-crouch. Oh, and there will be some attack-switching, which is pressing the switch button after hitting something. Alternate quickly for raep. There was a lack of "AXE BOMBER!!", so I decided to try to squeeze it in on a few bosses, namely Werewolf, Doppelganger, Brauner, and, of all people, Batman. Plenty of savestates were abused to achieve such a kill. Sadly, this emulator (DeSmuME) STILL doesn't display the lightning effect when using the Dual Crush. At least the Zephyr Time Stop effect is fixed (screens go black on older version). Forgot to mention: the lightning barrier from Barlowe in OoE doesn't show either. =/

Tricks of the trade: Quest Reward Duplication - Only available in the US version. To do this, press Start when it shows "You received X". Go back to the quest selection, and you will see that the quest isn't cleared. Repeat for items and sell. I do this quite a lot. It is for the skills in the shop (sadly, no Holy Claymore and Salamander). Too bad Tome of Arms X can't be sold. D: Not related to the duplication glitch, but there is a gamebreaking glitch: skipping the Death dialogue after defeating him. You can skip when he disappears from the screen.

Tricks of the trade: Sisters Freeze - another glitch. When Loretta is prepping the ice wolf spell, have Charlotte cast a full powered Clear Skies. This will freeze Loretta and Stella will do nothing but attack. I use this to get the bad ending.

Fun fact: Persephone + Vacuum X Charlotte's skirt = :3

Fun fact: Greatest Five - it shows the previous Belmont: Leon, Simon, Juste, Richiter (spelling intentional), and Trevor. Simon and Trevor sometimes appear in 8-bit form. :3 I don't use Greatest Five because it is overpowered and drains a lot of MP. -
