Notes: King's Knight is one of the first console, and general, releases by the now enormous video game company, Squaresoft, Inc. This game reveals quite a humble beginning along with some hints of the future direction of the company. From the exterior of the game you may expect an RPG, but King's Knight is mainly a vertical shooter, with item status training and a storyline that give a slight RPG feel. Because of somewhat poor play control, this game can be difficult and frustrating. It's a good thing they fired their developers (or got different ones), because the company that made this P.O.S. went on to develop probably one of the most beloved RPGs on the NES (Final Fantasy). I doubt I will ever play this game again, because of how wonky the movements are, especially with jumping, and the number of bugs I found just with a couple hours of play that kill your game. Cheers! :)
