It's time to stop getting mad when a newly announced Nintendo game shares a title with your favorite series, but plays like a new game.
Music source: "Battle! (Pixel Mix)" - Paper Mario: Color Splash
Additional comments:
0:38 - "Similar art design". That means Paper Mario. :P
0:58 - Don't think 2D to 3D transitions count for Zelda, Metroid, and Mario? Consider that up to the point when Super Mario 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Metroid Prime came out, every main console entry from each series had been in the 2D style. Looking back, it seems obvious that the 3D adaptations were well done and essentially a new branch on existing series, but they each changed the gameplay significantly. They could have each just as easily been 2.5D games, keeping the same gameplay as their predecessors but using 3D graphics in the same way that Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards did or, more recently, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
2:50 - "More people buy a game they're familiar with" RIP Sin & Punishment and normal Chibi-Robo games
4:50 - "Not gonna like this because I didn't like the previous game" Please, play Kid Icarus: Uprising, omg, it's so good.

Additional weird sequel examples: Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Command, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, recent Mario Party games
