Nintendo's Famicom Modem (Family Computer Network System)
The Nintendo Famicom Network System was a modem adaptor for the Family Computer released in 1988. The unit was the result of a partnership between Nintendo and Nomura Securities. The add-on allowed users to access financial info, trade stocks, bet on horse races via the JRA-PAT software, and even access game reviews via the Super Mario Club cartridge!
