An Endgame Axe Build which deals a lot of damage, while being able to use most of the skills within its kit. I have taken inspiration from JumpinProduction's previous 3.0 OP Axe Build, but since it really focused on using a few skills, I thought I'd do some testing of my own. At last I have come up with a build that is similar in design but plays significantly different from its predecessor.

What makes this build Unique:

The ability to use a secondary-weapon type which can deal a decent amount of damage (I recommend Switch Glaive, Hatchets or Odachi as you can alter the weapon's stats to either stamina or courage and then add more damage when remodeling, but any other weapon will suffice. Just make sure it has Ki Damage and Mystic Dyad)
*Fully-Corrupted Build
*Ki break damage
*Phantom/Brute Synergy
*Further increased damage while in Yokai Shift
*Different skills to choose from (I'd skip Mad Spinner since it leaves you winded most of the time when using this set)

Reasons why I focused on Ultimate Courage and Ki Management:

While removing titles and skills that prioritize on ki helps you activate intensity easier, it also leaves you in a state where you can't actually fight back. This applies to a group of enemies and human bosses that attack fast and can maintain their ki. It only gets more problematic when you're playing online with three 3 people at a time. 2 player co-op is the sweet spot for breaking an enemy's ki in my opinion). Plus, I rather use more moves because doing like 2 skills for Axe gets boring real fast, like literally.

Reasons why I use Counter Yokai Tactics:

The skill itself does more ki and regular damage to yokai enemies than you might think and it also works when you're in yokai shift. Additionally, the ki damage stacks with Yumehami and Baku's side stat Max Yokai Ability Damage.

Soul Core Recommendations:

Three main Soul Cores I suggest is Kasha, Nuppepo, and Nightmare Bringer. Kasha gives decent health recovery and movement speed, Nuppepo gives you a big damage buff but drains your ki quicker, and Nightmare Bringer can push back enemies, and confusion accumulation on multiple targets (it also has synergies with Kasha, giving you a ton of health when fighting bosses or trash mobs). Other than those, you can really choose any soul core you like. The goal is for your soul cores to have Sentience Charge so you can activate your stronger hitting moves faster. You only need about three soul cores with Sentience (I'd recommend you to put them on the guardian spirit Yumehami). An honorary mention goes out to the soul core konaki jiji. It has a damage multiplier for heavy armor (B+), can easily apply ki break pressure, and gets a defense buff when an enemy is winded. It's a close-combat soul core but it doesn't use a lot of anima which is pretty great. You can use this soul core as a substitute if you don't want to use the two clans mentioned in the video.

Guardian Spirit Recommendations:

Two Spirits that come to mind are Yumehami and Baku. Yumehami focuses on Melee Ki Break Damage and Extended Yokai Shift, while Baku focuses on Melee Damage vs Corrupted Enemy and Anima Charge. You'll get the benefits of using Phantom/Brute to diversify your gameplay.

Main Gear Set Bonus Recommendations:

Kintaro and Grace of Oyamatsumi. Kintaro focuses on the axe portion of the build, giving more power in Stamina while providing additional health. Oyamatsumi for its tanking utility. You can endure many of the harder hitting attacks from bosses and random enemies. Oyamatsumi really shines in "Depths" which is the only place where you can farm the set bonus from (Floor 6-15 is advised for efficently farming the set bonus). Anything besides Depths you can switch out the grace for something more damaging like Magatsuhi or Susano's Grace. I'd advise that you place Kintaro set bonus on the armor, while Oyamatsumi goes onto the weapons and accessories. However, if you only want to play Axe, you can use Kintaro's axe as a secondary and use a different armor piece for Oyamatsumi.

Scroll Skill Recommendations:

Ultimate Stamina
Ulimate Courage
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Constitution
Counter Yokai Tactics
Path of The Demon
Strong Attack Damage
Sentience Charge

Focus Level Recommendations:

500 points in Attack, 500 points in Life. You can prioritize one over the other if you like.

Important:

Fully remodel your gear so that it is heavy as possible. This also applies to your accessories. This allows you to be very tanky and can let you take advantage of intensity.

Accessory Recommendations:

Really depends on what you can get on them, but the primary focus is to get an accessory that has Melee Damage vs Corrupted Enemy, Sentience Charge, and Melee Damage vs Zero Ki enemy. You don't need Shoten Doji's Gourd as Baku will give you Pleiades (Amrita Absorbtion).
