This is a challenge for Digimon World where I have to complete the game without being able to use any attacks. This is referring to the regular attacks; I'm not allowed to use any of the 56 techniques in the game. There are 7 different natures in this game (Fire, Battle, Air, Ice, Earth, Machine and Filth) and each of those natures contains 8 techniques, totalling to 56 techniques. I'm not allowed to use any of these techniques in this challenge. The Baby Digimon and In-Training Digimon in this game have their own unique techniques; Small Bubble and Bubble, and the use of these techniques is also forbidden. The only way that I'm allowed to do damage in this challenge is by using Finishes. I have to refrain from using techniques during battles and wait for my Finish Gauge to fill up so that I can strike opposing Digimon with Finishes. A big issue with a challenge like this is that your Digimon will attack unless you pick the Distance Command or Defensive Command, or if your Digimon doesn't have an adequate amount of MP in order to attack. Because of this, it's vital that I have a minimum of 300 Brains so that the Distance Command is available to me. 400 Brains is the required amount if I want to have the Defensive Command.

For this particular challenge I thought that Gabumon would be the better choice of Digimon to start the game with. Gabumon has Sonic Jab, whereas Agumon has Spit Fire. Sonic Jab has to be used from a close range, which means that if you begin a battle when there's distance between your Digimon and the opposing Digimon then it will take a brief moment for your Digimon to run up to the opposing Digimon to use a close range attack. Therefore, you are presented with a brief moment in which you can pick Distance/Defensive to stop your Digimon from attacking.

This is Part 1 of this challenge. There are 2 Parts in total. In this Part (Part 1) I Digivolved from Gabumon to Drimogemon before fighting Agumon, but Sonic Jab was still my selected technique. With Drimogemon as my Digimon, I recruited Agumon, Betamon, Centarumon, Coelamon, Bakemon, Penguinmon, Sukamon, Biyomon, Elecmon, Unimon, Kunemon, Palmon, Monochromon, Birdramon, Shellmon, Meramon, Seadramon, Kuwagamon, Whamon, Ogremon, Gabumon, Kokatorimon, Vegiemon and Mojyamon. I also defeated Otamamon at the Geko Swamp so that I gained access to the Volume Villa and purchased the Amazing Rod. I obtained a Mouldy Meat, Happy Mushroom and HiSpeed Disk from the Amida Forest before recruiting Centarumon. The Mouldy Meat was reserved as an item to be used to make a suitable Digimon sick in Freezeland so that Fridgimon would rescue us. The Happy Mushroom and HiSpeed Disk were to be traded with Mojyamons in Freezeland. I made it past the guards at Factorial Town so that I'd have access to Giromon, but I chose not to fight him in that lifespan with Drimogemon as my Digimon. I defeated Tyrannomon and Meteormon but didn't recruit Tyrannomon as I wanted Meramon to be the only Digimon working at the Restaurant for the time being. For most of the battles I was able to have a big enough distance between my Digimon and the opposing Digimon so that I could pick the Distance Command before using Sonic Jab. However, it wasn't possible to get enough distance when fighting Meramon at the Lava Cave, or Goburimon at the Great Canyon. Because of this I learned Counter and had that selected as my only technique when fighting them. I then had to rely on Drimogemon not using Counter against any technique that it can be used against; something where luck was needed.

After Drimogemon faded away I chose the Pink Egg and started over with Yuramon as my Digimon. I took advantage of the Tanemon Bug so that I could upgrade the whole of the Green Gym. I took Tanemon to Freezeland, made her sick with the Mouldy Meat, and got rescued by Fridgimon, thus taking the first step towards recruiting him. I Digivolved from Tanemon to Palmon, and then from Palmon to Numemon. Numemon was my choice of Digimon so that I'd be able to take him to Toy Town and Digivolve to Monzaemon; something that's compulsory for being able to gain access to WaruMonzaemon.
