🔥 No dodging, no double jump... and so I face danger? | Exploaris: Vermis Story
1💙 Welcome to a new first encounter!
🔆 Today we tried Exploaris: Vermis Story, an action-exploration game with a sci-fi aesthetic reminiscent of classic Metroidvanias... but with several design decisions that left me with doubts.
🔰 In this first encounter, I found the gameplay to be quite rigid: there's no dodging, you can't grab edges or double jump, and that makes even simple platforming feel frustrating.
💠 Visually, it's decent, with a somewhat generic but functional style. It's not expensive, but it's still hard to recommend if basic movement isn't comfortable.
Will it improve later on? Or is that part of the challenge?
