Last week we were in London to play No Man's Sky (you can read our preview of the game here: http://www.gamereactor.eu/previews/39... ), and while we were there we had the opportunity to talk with Sean Murray from Hello Games.

Murray had lots to share with us about the game - he talked about how the game doesn't try to be realistic in a sense, saying that the planets have intentionally been made vibrant and interesting.

"If you would take a screenshot of the game at certain points," he told us, "it would look a little like a sci-fi book cover. This is exactly what we want. It's pretty and the universe is beautiful, making it more interesting to explore. If space was just entirely black, and every planet was just a dull rock, you'd be less inclined to explore."

He did say that there will be an element of realism in how the planets work, though. "There is a day/night cycle on every planet, based on how the planet is rotating around its axis - in terms of life, you will generally find life where there is water."

Planets have different environments based on where they are, too: "it's based on your proximity to the sun - there will by icy planets and very hot planets."

In terms of how interaction with other players will go, Murray had something interesting to say:

"The chances of you landing on a planet that a player has already been to are actually really small. The chance of you being on the same planet at the same time as another player is incredibly small. It genuinely may never happen."

"The game isn't really about multiplayer, or building up factions and having battles - after the game comes out, that is something we could be doing so much more with. The community will decide how they play it, and we would love to nurture what the community wants."

No Man's Sky is heading to PC and PlayStation 4, and it's launching in June 2016
