Because we all have had it too
But it seems like something else
She’s in bed with fever now
So it’s just me with all the kids
The 2 year old is taking nap
The 10 year old is Zelda-ing
The 7 year old has got YouTube
This is the moment that I have
To scratch some words onto the page
Whatever comes out from the pen
Except there is no page or pen
I’m typing words out on a screen
And throwing stuff into the DAW
No thought or feeling not at all
And then it’s back to the demands
Of children asking me for things
Food and help and everything
And then maybe we’ll go to the pool
