Brine has long been my favorite Noita starting flask for it's ability to create Glowing Matter when poured over lava. Until recently, I didn't think there was any significance to this interaction (aside from Glowing Matter looking cool), however, on the beta branch, this interaction now creates fungus. This fungus slowly burns off and the byproduct of that reaction eventually creates more fungus, allowing you to (slowly) destroy large amounts of lava. -Furthermore, this reaction can create Green Fungus, which has it's own usefulness in specific applications.

This got me thinking, is there a way to replicate or speed up this reaction to potentially remove massive amounts of lava from the world? I'm not sure, but I think the implications are pretty interesting. This video is essentially a proof-of-concept regarding the ability to both remove large amounts of lava and create Green Fungus.
