NOMAD is a FPS with a distinctive aesthetic and a bit of bullet hell mixed in, in development by Gregorski.

I'd seen the trailer for this during ZlimBratSki's summer FPS showcase and had briefly tested a super-early demo several months ago (so early that there was basically no texture/environment work yet). I was very interested to see that an updated demo just got released this month on itch.io, so I could finally get an early hands-on impression of what was really envisioned for the game.

Note that this demo is still quite early and WIP (and it says so right on the main menu). There are known UI and enemy pathing bugs, and there's a debug menu included which was definitely instrumental for being able to complete the demo in a few instances. (Thanks to Gregorski for tuning in and pointing out the presence of that menu, otherwise I might've completely missed it.)

There's presumably plenty of refinement to be done in terms of mechanics/physics and hit/damage feedback, and eventually in terms of more incremental tutorialization and progression (right now the demo throws the full moveset at you at once). The game certainly has potential for a fun experience, so I'll be curious to see how it shapes up.

It's worth noting that this game is mostly a one-person effort (with the exception of music, at present), and Gregorski hasn't really done any full-blown coding either. Given those constraints, this is an impressive start.
