NoRedInk Rant | A Terrible Way For Students To Learn English (Rant #3)
NoRedInk is an awful way for students to learn basic ELA as well as basic reading comprehension. It is severely demeaning and has a lot of things such as a brutal recovery system that forces students to correctly answer three questions in a row for every single incorrect answer in order to move on with the assignment. It also severely diminishes their mental and emotional health, and it makes the lives of not only students harder, but also teachers and especially parents as well. This site is dangerous to our youth and people must be made aware of the dangers and risks associated with this language learning website. It does not help students memorize the material taught to them in ELA class and instead forces them to rush through every question in an attempt to finish quickly and causes them severe stress, exhaustion, and uncomfort, especially when they are forced to do it well into midnight, with some kids days late on these assignments and still not being done with the lesson or assignment in question. It is time that teachers, schools, and parents take a hard look at NoRedInk and realize how much of a threat it is to our children. The voice of children must be heard, and I am speaking on behalf of every one of them forced to suffer through this atrocious online application through this rant, especially since I am a former student who was forced to use NoRedInk in my ELA classes in high school. People need to pay attention to the issues and factors of this website that make kids hate it as much as they do.
(This is my third rant on this site, by the way).
