Here is something I wanted to do for quite some time: turn one of my first major university assignments into a music video. The 3D model that is the focus of this video is my take on a 3D version of the Nort Ship Z, a player ship in Tyrian 2000.

This video covers the concepts behind my reimagining of the ship in 3D, shows off turntables of the model in Maya and Unreal Engine 4, and shows the difference from base mesh to textures and normal maps done using Substance Painter.

Adobe Photoshop was used to create the high-resolution vector trace of the iconic Tyrian 2000 logo.
Pre-rendering of a majority of this video (and recolouring of the Substance Painter logo to make it visible) was done using Microsoft PowerPoint.
The pre-rendered footage, turntable renders, and extra visual elements (logos and some texts) were compiled into this single video using OpenShot Video Editor.
Audacity was used to edit the background music (which is much longer) to fit within the video's duration.

This video is an updated version of two earlier unlisted videos and fixes multiple errors and oversights while incorporating some minor changes.
