This is a video of me playing the MS-DOS game Raptor: Call of the Shadows on Elite difficulty using a similar loadout used by the computer in Demo Mode. The computer's loadout consists of the following:

1 MG21C Reaver Twin Machine Guns
100 Shields
1 Ion Scanner
4 CBU-80 Guillotine Megabombs
1 SA17 Ares Phase Shield
1 Dearborn Industries Firestorm Plasma Cannon
1 AGM-26L Banshee Air/Ground Missile
1 Micro Missile
1 CAL-10 Eclipse Twin Laser

The only difference between the computer's loadout and mine is that I have an additional 4 Phase Shields equipped.

This is the original file as recorded by me in the DOSBox frontend Boxer v0.73 on Mac OS X 10.5.6. It is supposed to be lossless and should not contain any artefacts, but YouTube compresses the video so...yeah.

This is, hands down, the absolute hardest level in Raptor, and rightfully so. Outer Regions on Elite difficulty is already very hard, even for a seasoned player such as myself, but the final wave blows the first eight before it out of the water, into space and into the Sun. Most attack-oriented patterns will fail in this wave, simply because the damage incurred here is way beyond any other level in the game. I, however, employ an attack-oriented pattern that attempts to deal as much damage as possible without actually blowing up before the end. This is why I can never complete this wave with less than 560 hit points. However, I took a lot more damage near the end than I anticipated, so I was forced to make a few concessions and lighten up on my attacks a little.
