NORTH Playthrough (PS4)
What can I say about NORTH? Basically a very short walking simulator, and errrr...it's really weird/surreal. Its not going to make a lick of sense to those who aren't a fan of surrealism though. I love surrealist movies from the likes of Lynch, Bunel, Gilliam etc. so I loved the surreal aspect. There's definitely some metaphor in there about discrimination against ethinicity/refugees/sexual orientation/religion, it's just so 'out there' I can see why people won't like this. There's little to no direction either. Visuals are okay, most of the environments are pretty bland. There is one really trippy 2001-esque sequence which particularly stood out. Controls weren't that great, felt rather cumbersome. Loved the music in it, some which was very synth-like. A strange game that's only meant to be experienced once, as it has no replay value.
