Nostalgia Ops: Metal Gear Solid 2 (pt. 1)

The little things make this game. There has always been an acute attention to detail in the series, but it really shines through in MGS2. The codec nonsense, the dog tags, the tranqs, the lasers, wet boxes, the lockers, the tiny button that you can shoot to cause an instant alert in one of the rooms. I could go on, but you probably get the point.
On top of that, the dialog writing is, I think, so much better this time around. It also helps that the characters sound, well, like people. Some of them might be slightly over the top at times, but just about all of them at least perform in a way that makes them come to life in ways that they didn't in MGS1. Pair that with the cinematography, and you have one hell of a product.
Could do without the motion blur, though.
