Dun...dun...dun-duuun-de-dun...dun-de-dun...dah-dah-dah...etc.

In 1996, LucasArts ported Rebel Assault II to the PlayStation, giving it a few tweaks in the process. It doesn't stray far from the FMV game tree that its predecessor fell from, but now sports live-action sequences and improved CGI that still holds up pretty well today. The PlayStation version also has polygon ship models as opposed to digitised sprites and higher quality video. As for the gameplay? Your mileage may vary on that depending on how much you enjoy mostly on-rails shooting sequences and target galleries. Me? I still have a soft spot for them and for this game, and I was pleased to see that I wasn't the only one.

Recorded via OBS and Audacity, edited in Filmora, and played through hardware capture from an original model PSX and a physical copy of the game discs.
