Forza Horizon 5 has launched to a stunning 92 score on OpenCritic, the highest score of the year so far. But why are people reluctant to discuss this is a genuine Game of the Year contender? When was the last time that a Racing Game won Game of the Year and is the shun of the genre valid?

Almost a million people have been playing Forza Horizon 5 this past weekend thanks to the paid Early Access options to players. It’s clearly a lucrative money-making opportunity that Microsoft have exploited. Is it truly “Early Access” or is access to the game actually behind a carefully constructed paywall? It had been almost two decades since the last original Metroid game was released. Metroid Dread finally blesses fans with another 2D entry into this famous franchise and promises to end a narrative that has spanned 35 years.
