With it being nearly a year and a half after the launch of the RTX 3080 and GPU prices are still out of control now may be the worst time in history to buy a graphics card.

If you are looking at buying an RTX 3080, 3070, 3060, or 3050 right now, and wondering "when should I buy a GPU", my recommendation is to just not buy a GPU, and if your looking into getting into PC gaming for the first time you may want to just buy an Xbox Series X or PS5 and just wait until prices become more reasonable. Plus the RTX 40 GPUs will be releasing this year and will be a massive performance increase.
