So we're fans of Nubia but DC has a habit of not including her most of the time. This graphic novel isn't really what we've been hoping for either. Nubia is Wonder Woman's black twin sister and she's an interesting character with a lot of potential. However, this new graphic novel basically slaps Nubia's name on the cover without considering her actual character. Nubia: Real One is a commentary on the politics and social issues that just uses her for political purposes. The storytelling suffers from contrivances and a heavy-handed message that overexaggerates to the point where it's hard to take things seriously. Meanwhile, the art is awful! This is not the kind of Twin rep we were hoping for. Wonder Woman has never looked worse and she just abandoned her sister her entire life. Rude.
