---------- COMMENTS --------------------------------------------------
After way too many months, I'm finally back and decide to pick up where I left off. I lost my previous maps of the stage so I quickly played the stage again to redraw my map, plan my route, and then execute.
The Animism Space is filled with a ton of death pits and flying spike balls making a no-hit run a real pain. The stage also has a boss rush during the last 3 rooms before two quick rest rooms before the final boss of Nue's campaign, Suwako.
I will say it straight... Suwako is annoying. So annoying that I spent around 10 hours retrying but eventually gave up. What you see in the video is one of my better attempts at beating her without getting hit. There was one better attempt but I kept this one in since it also displayed why I don't like this fight.
Suwako has 7 spellcard attacks and most of them have random movement patterns which means the point of origin of each attack is random and thus extremely hard to dodge. While many attacks are aimed at you, some aren't such as "Full Sakura Blizzard", "Mythical Ring" and "Mishaguchi-sama".
During "Full Sakura Blizzard" Suwako will randomly jump while she attacks making petals fall from multiple locations essentially boxing you in and forcing you to just stand there throwing cards to defend yourself.
During "Mythical Ring" you often will get cornered by the many rings she throws out that travel in random directions before bouncing off the walls twice. Nearing the end of the spell, she just spams the attack so much you have no choice to but get hit sometimes.
"Mishaguchi-sama"... Reflecting curvy lasers in a platforming scenario.. That's all I really need to say I hope.
Overall, trying to beat Suwako without getting hit is nearly impossible and the fight just becomes unfair due to relying on the random number generator determining whether Suwako moves a certain distance to position herself either with a middle platform over her or not.
The furthest I got without getting hit was to "Mishaguchi-sama". I kept this run in though because it shows me being really lucky during that fight, only to immediately get screwed over by the reflective nature of the attack, and what happens when the RNG decides that her final attack "Geyser Bigburn" goes off a little earlier than expected. (Seriously, I looked at the clip and there are times where it takes forever for the attack to come out and sometimes it's almost instant)
It was a fun yet frustrating experience.
