Today I will be sharing a recipe with you for making "nutritious herb balls” which are packed with herbs containing vitamins and minerals that will get your day off to a good start.

These little balls are one of our favorite treats to have on hand. They are packed with herbal goodness and take only minutes to make. It is also very simple to make them apart of your daily diet.
These sweet herb balls can also make breakfast a breeze. You can spread them on toast or throw a few into your smoothie for extra herbal nourishment in the morning!

To start off you will need to use a paste mixture to keep all the herbs together. You can use tahini, nut butters, honey or maple syrup, you can also combine a few of these together. The nice thing about making nutritious herb balls is that you can add whatever ingredients you want or have on hand, there is no standard recipe.

These herbs act like a nutritive food in the body and offer high amounts of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are easily absorbed.

To give these herb balls a great taste I will add cacao, plus, coconut flakes, to cover the herb balls with.

You can also add cocoa or carob powder, raisins or goji berries, chocolate or carob chips, and granola for flavor.

Ingredients: 1 cup tahini (sesame butter)
1/4 cup raw local honey
1/2 tablespoon kelp powder
1/2 tablespoon alfalfa powder
1/2 tablespoon nettle powder
1/2 tablespoon lemon peel powder
1/2 tablespoon dandelion root powder
1/2 tablespoon marshmallow root powder
1/2 tablespoon oatstraw powder
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
4 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut flakes

Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the tahini and raw honey. In a second bowl, stir together all powdered herbs and cacao. Add the mixed herbs into the bowl with the tahini mixture and stir well. After everything is combined, form about a tablespoon of dough into a ball. You can then roll this ball in a bed of coconut flakes.

These nutritious herb balls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

As I previously had mentioned there is no standard recipe, so feel free to add whatever ingredients you choose. These nutritious herb balls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

I hope that you enjoy these nutritious herb balls as much as we do.
