AMD R9 390X and Fury X both saw a huge boost in performance from DX11 to DX12.
Nvidia did worse in DX12 as well as the multi sampled AA
Nvidia states that they did not think the Ashes Of Singularity benchmark was legit.
Oxide games: states the low performance is do to a feature called: Asynchronous Compute. Which allows many for processes to happen at once.
Although it turns out Maxwell GPU's are not as good at running Asynchronous Compute as the AMD GCN architecture GPU's are, at this time.
Nvidia's DX12 performance will certainly improve as driver updates are released.
