Nvidia GeForce GTX 2000 Series In GTC & Ampere Is Refresh ? | Playstation 5 in 2020 Says Analyst
Nvidia's GeForce 2000 range of cards, including the eagerly awaited GeForce GTX 2070 and Geforce GTX 2080 will be announced in GTC in a months time, and then launched in early May, according to industry sources.
Furthermore, Ampere and Turing will BOTH be real GPUs. With Turing aimed squarely at the crypto market, and the Ampere arcitecture designed for gaming. Supposedly, Ampere will be a refresh of sorts, although how it bares a relationship to either Pascal or Volta isn't clear. We can of course presume there'll be a nice speed gain.
Meanwhile, yet another analyst predicts Sony's Playstation 5 will see a release date in 2020. Sony are obviously keen to keep the PS5 release date underwraps, but with the PS4 currently selling extremely well, it's unlikely we'll see an announcement for the next 12 months of its successor.
Mat Piscatella said "2020 is what I have in my forecast. [for the PlayStation 5 release date] The data suggest there's no need to do it earlier. But I've been surprised before so I'm as interested in this as anyone."
