Oblivion - oblivion is over! (teddyras)
1I finish up the knights of the 9 quest. Honestly the dlc's in this game feel so strange; just the way they are structured feels like a slightly longer version of a throwaway sidequest in other games. Like this quest seemed like it could have introduced characters earlier, made them do something, instead it just felt like people randomly showed up and did nothing, but the game pretended like they did. Also they were all mostly just basic go here and get this item stuff with not a ton special about them, closest thing being the shoes being needed for the faith puzzle for the mace. I also did a quest I missed about a painter earlier, neat visually.
Finally I finish the main quest and thus anticlimactically finish the game. Normally I give my thoughts on games during credits, but this game just has a cutscene and kinda ends, so thus I kinda just ended my stream there after I cut here lol. Like all bethesda made games: the main quest is one of the least interesting parts. So much go into bad dungeon, especially oblivion gates, and the story is weak as heck.
Overall, I think oblivion is a fun game on accident more than on purpose. Most of the fun comes from when things go wrong with the AI or dialogue. This game does have some really really good quests in it that are fun on purpose, but they're surrounded by dozens of boring quests. Every single dungeon in this game offered nothing but a maze to find loot and kill lots of the same 2 enemies in that area. The dlc's were honestly really weird and lower quality than I expected after how good the quality of like fallout dlc's I've played in 3 and new vegas were. Sheogorath's dlc was somehow a bummer, the mehrunes razor quest and knights of the nine quest felt like longer sidequests, with the 9 feeling like 1/4th of a bad guild questline. The rest of the dlc seemed really stupid, weird player home you could do dumb shit like make guys earn money for you in, like who cares. Still despite all that, this game was a lot of fun and I might play it again in the future with a bunch of mods
